Debuted in January 1967 with "Break on Through". The world view reminiscent of "death" and "aestheticism" and Jim Morrison's charismatic stage performance attracted attention, and their debut album "Light a Fire in My Heart" quickly won a gold disc. In 1968, their third album "Waiting for the Sun", which included the smash hit "Hello, I Love You", recorded their first No. 1 album on the US album chart. After releasing their sixth album "LA Woman", Jim passed away at the young age of 27.
