The legendary Charlemagne Palestine returns to Black Truffle with KKAARREENNIINNAA, capturing a 2025 performance in London alongside two close collaborators of recent years, multi-instrumentalist Daniel O'Sullivan and guitarist Oren Ambarchi. While perhaps still best known for the ecstatic piano clouds of his "strumming music" performances, Palestine's life-long search for what he calls the "golden sound" has taken in an enormous variety of methods of sound production. Now stretching back an incredible six decades, his exploration of continuous sound forms has led him to mega-instrumental ensembles, synthesizer drones, and collaborative improvisation of the kind captured here.
