Grind Shaft, a Tokyo hardcore punk band active for over 20 years, has released their first new album since 2016.

Originally, Grind Shaft had a rockin' and thrashy image, but with each release, their sound and words have become more profound. From a surface to a space, their spiritual world continues to expand like outer space. The final album, 'HIDDEN FOLKLORE,' contains a story that far exceeds it's mass. Most of the story is 'hidden' as the name suggests. We want you to feel the sound, words, and artwork in the black box freely. After more than 20 years of relentless activity, Tokyo hardcore punk band Grind Shaft returns with their first new release since 2016. Grind Shaft originally had a rockin' and thrashy image, but with each new release, their sound and lyrics have gained depth and dimension. What was once a flat surface has become a vast space-their spiritual world expanding endlessly like the cosmos itself. At the far edge of that ever-expanding universe comes their latest work, HIDDEN FOLKLORE-an album that carries stories far beyond it's sheer weight.
