A potent mixture of modal vamps, psychedelic textures, Afro-Caribbean rhythms, and transcendental vocals, the album bridges the earthly and the astral with a blend of conviction and groove. This is Afrofuturist jazz at it's raw and visionary best. A genre-blurring fusion of spiritual jazz, funk, and cosmic soul, firmly in the tradition of Pharoah Sanders, Lonnie Liston Smith, and Herbie Hancock's Mwandishi era.

Vinyl re-release in October 2025 has sold 2,000 of 2,500 manufactured. Remastered directly from the original analog tapes by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab. Packaged in a 4-panel digipak with 8-page booklet with newly written liner notes by Syd Schwartz and Barney Fields with a rare photograph by K. Abe.
