Welcome My Last Chapter [CD]

Vinterland - Welcome My Last Chapter [CD]

Vinterland's only full-length album is one of the defining records of mid-90s Swedish melodic black metal, and it is often named alongside Dissection and Sacramentum. The trio recorded it at Unisound Studios in the winter of 1995. Dan Swanö contributed keyboards and helped create the album's cold, wintry atmosphere. The songs pair razor-sharp tremolo melodies with mournful, majestic passages, from the opener 'Our Dawn of Glory' to the closing epic 'Wings of Sorrow'.

The band went quiet for many years after the album first came out, and the record built a devoted cult following. Thirty years on, Vinterland have returned to the stage, and Black Lodge Records is marking the anniversary with this new edition. It follows the remaster Swanö made at Unisound, the same studio and engineer behind the original recording.

This is a single-disc CD edition, for fans of classic Scandinavian black metal and for anyone who missed the album the first time.
