Volume 1: Teaching You The Fear [LP]

Really Red – Volume 1: Teaching You The Fear [LP]

Really Red were the backbone of Houston's underground from the early punk era through '80s hardcore, a band that took on a violent police department at real personal risk. Teaching You the Fear is their much-loved first album, more manic and locked-in than their early singles, with U-Ron Bondage's pointed lyrics riding Kelly Younger's angular guitar, John Paul Williams' elastic bass and Bob Weber's precise drumming. The title track calls out murders by Houston police by name.

The first part of Alternative Tentacles' complete three-volume Really Red reissue, restored from the original tapes and remastered by Jello Biafra. Includes a download card and part one of David Ensminger's interview with Ronnie Bond.
