The Book of Kells [Red 2LP]

Iona - The Book of Kells [Red 2LP]

The Book of Kells is Iona's 1992 concept album, a musical journey through the famous illuminated manuscript of the four Gospels. Sections like "Matthew - The Man", "Mark - The Lion", "Luke - The Calf" and "John - The Eagle" mirror the book's symbols, blending Celtic folk instruments, progressive rock dynamics and Joanne Hogg's luminous vocals into one of the band's most ambitious works.

This limited UK import spreads the album across two red vinyl LPs, adding an alternative intro to "Mark - The Lion", a new version of "Eternity" and a solo harp "Virgin and Child".
