Carissa's Wierd - Somewhere Further Than Far Away [CD]

Somewhere Further Than Far Away is the first new studio album in over 25 years from Carissa's Wierd, the Seattle band led by Mat Brooke and Jenn Champion that formed in Tucson in 1995 and split in 2003. The 13 songs were recorded largely in the members' separate homes during the winter of 2026 and completed over five days at The Hall of Justice in Seattle.

Issued on CD by Nettwerk. Per the label notes, the album pairs fragile melodies with dynamic, swelling arrangements and the wistful, ghost-town mood the band was known for. Tracks include the lead single "No One Lives Here Anymore" and "I Don't Feel Like I Feel Right."
