Queen of Texas [Red & Blue Starburst LP]

Solya - Queen of Texas [Red & Blue Starburst LP]

West Texas singer-songwriter Solya pairs a Patsy Cline-style delivery and Fiona Apple-sharp lyrics with shimmering synths, '50s rock 'n' roll melodies and country slide guitar. Her debut album Queen of Texas, written entirely by her and recorded on analog gear over ten days in Lockhart, Texas, explores chaotic love, rebellion and the isolation of growing up queer in a small, conservative town.

Pressed on red and blue starburst vinyl.
