Yesca - Paint On Walls [12"]
Yesca's Paint On Walls EP on 12" vinyl via Shall Not Fade. "They Wonder (How I Do It)" is a masterclass in less-is-more and a serious DJ tool: slow it down for a house set, speed it up for techno. "I Desire" is blissed-out machine funk with whispered vocals, jazzy chords and dubbed-out techno stabs, all grounded by Yesca's loopy drum programming.
"Domination" rides an ever-rising bassline and swinging, dubbed-out synth lines, while the title track "Paint On Walls" pulls the EP's highlights into a Latin techno and house anthem with skittering percussion, a hint of Detroit and a deep rolling bassline.
