My Favorite Things [LP]

John Coltrane – My Favorite Things [LP]

Recorded in 1960 and released the following year, My Favorite Things turned a Rodgers and Hammerstein show tune into a modal jazz epic and made John Coltrane's soprano saxophone famous. With McCoy Tyner, Steve Davis and Elvin Jones, he stretches the title track to nearly 14 minutes and reshapes "Summertime", "But Not for Me" and "Every Time We Say Goodbye" into something entirely his own.

This limited 180-gram Spanish import from Number One Essential adds "Like Sonny" as a bonus track.
