More Than You Know [2CD]

Dexter Gordon - More Than You Know [2CD]

A previously unreleased live recording of tenor saxophonist Dexter Gordon with his regular quartet of the early 1980s: Kirk Lightsey on piano, David Eubanks on bass and Eddie Gladden on drums. It was recorded in Genoa, Italy, on 7 July 1981 and issued by Gleam Records.

Across five long performances, including Randy Weston's Hi Fly, the title standard and Gordon's own Back Stairs, the quartet stretches out in a relaxed, bop-rooted style. The release runs nearly 80 minutes over two discs.
