Medvind Modvind [LP]

Tingo - Medvind Modvind [LP]

Tingo are one of the freshest names on the Scandinavian jazz and folk scene, nominated as New Name of the Year at both the Danish Music Awards Jazz and Roots. On their second album, Medvind Modvind (tailwind, headwind), they renew old Scandinavian folk melodies with a jazz approach and mix them with their own compositions. The title track sets the theme: life as a dance with the wind, sometimes pushing you on, sometimes a wall to press through.

The instruments intertwine and answer one another across pieces like 'Gråtlåten', 'Haresprånget' and 'Svanås Vals'. Released by April Records and pressed on vinyl as a single LP.
