Let It Ring: Live at the Jazz Showcase [2CD]

Clifford Jordan - Let It Ring: Live at the Jazz Showcase [2CD]

A previously unreleased live recording of Chicago saxophonist Clifford Jordan, captured at Joe Segal's Jazz Showcase in Chicago on September 30 and October 1, 1976. Jordan leads a quartet of bebop veterans: pianist Al Haig, bassist Wilbur Ware and drummer Kenny Clarke.

The programme leans on Monk, Parker and Ellington-era material such as "Well, You Needn't", "'Round Midnight", "Now's the Time" and "Lush Life", plus Jordan's "The Highest Mountain". Resonance issues it as a double CD mastered from the original tapes by George Klabin and Joe Lizzi.
