Kosmische Psychédélique (Motorik, Astral and Avant-Garde Musik from Deutschland and Beyond 1970–2025) [2LP Doppelgrau Vinyl]

Various Artists - Kosmische Psychédélique (Motorik, Astral and Avant-Garde Musik from Deutschland and Beyond 1970–2025) [2LP Doppelgrau Vinyl]

Kosmische Psychédélique takes you on a journey through the hypnotic world of Kosmische Musik, from the pioneering motorik beats, electronic experimentation and psychedelic sounds of early-1970s Germany to the contemporary artists still exploring its astral, ambient and avant-garde possibilities today.

It opens with La Düsseldorf's "Silver Cloud" before NEU!'s "Neuschnee" and Harmonia's "Deluxe (Immer Wieder)" show how radical simplicity could sound. Cluster, Brainticket, Klaus Schulze, Popol Vuh, Agitation Free, Faust, Tangerine Dream, Cosmic Jokers and Annexus Quam capture the freewheeling spirit of the original scene, while Komischer Läufer, Boards Of Canada, Turzi, Tortoise, Pale Blue Eyes and The Early Years show how those ideas have kept mutating into post-rock, shoegaze and electronica.

Like the rest of the Psychédélique series, this isn't a crate-digger's collection of obscurities, just a celebration of the music: made for late-night drives, headphones and some serious horizontal listening.

This limited pressing comes on 2LP Doppelgrau color vinyl with a printed insert and includes two vinyl-exclusive tracks from Guru Guru and Beak>.
