Julius Röntgen: Piano Music Vol. 7 [CD]

Mark Anderson – Julius Röntgen: Piano Music Vol. 7 [CD]

Pianist Mark Anderson continues his long-running survey of the piano music of Julius Röntgen, the German-Dutch composer whose keyboard writing was neglected for decades. Begun in 2014, the series has steadily made the case for Röntgen's solo and two-piano works as some of the most rewarding Romantic piano music still waiting for a wider audience.

Volume 7 arrives on a single CD from Nimbus Records, with Anderson acting as performer, recording artist and, in his own words, musical archaeologist. Essential for anyone following the series.

Genre: Classical, Piano, Romantic.
