Culture - International Herb [LP]
Abraham Records brings back International Herb in a 2026 repress. Culture first recorded and released the album in Jamaica in 1979. Joseph Hill's sweet, soulful harmonies glide over roots grooves, with Rastafarian devotion in songs like "Jah Rasta Far I," "Rally Around Jahoviah's Throne" and "Ethiopians Waan Guh Home," alongside the unapologetic title-track ode to the herb.
Recorded at Treasure Isle Studios in Kingston with The Revolutionaries: Herman Marquis (alto saxophone), Bertram "Ranchie" McLean (bass), Harry Powell (congas), Mikey Richards and Sly Dunbar (drums), Radcliffe "Dougie" Bryan (guitar), Dean Frazer (tenor saxophone), Nambo Robinson (trombone) and Clive Hunt (trumpet).
