Held in the Dark [LP]

Matt Carmichael - Held in the Dark [LP]

Saxophonist and composer Matt Carmichael is one of the leading voices in the new wave of Scottish jazz, known for lyrical writing that draws on the melodies and landscapes of Scottish folk music. Held in the Dark continues in that vein across eight pieces, from "Red Sky" and "Morning Geese" to "Flood Lines" and the closing title track, balancing warm melody with patient, open improvisation.

This single LP is a UK import pressing on Porthole Music.
