Shamek Farrah - First Impressions [Indie Exclusive 180g 2LP]

Alto saxophonist Shamek Farrah's First Impressions was released on Strata-East in 1974 and has become one of the most sought-after spiritual jazz records, with original pressings commanding high prices among collectors. The line-up includes Sonelius Smith on piano, Milton Suggs on bass, Ron Warwell on drums and Norman Person on trumpet.

This indie-exclusive deluxe edition adds three previously unreleased songs, cut from the original analog tapes, mastered by Kevin Gray and pressed on 180-gram vinyl at RTI. It is housed in a tip-on jacket with previously unseen photographs, new liner notes by Shamek Farrah and an album art print.
