Dr. John's Gumbo [Japan Import LP]

Dr. John - Dr. John's Gumbo [Japan Import LP]

Dr. John's Gumbo was the 1972 breakthrough that carried the sound of New Orleans into the rock world. Produced by Jerry Wexler and Harold Battiste, it finds Mac Rebennack paying tribute to the Crescent City R&B he grew up on, with definitive takes on "Iko Iko," "Tipitina" and "Big Chief."

Part of Warner Music Japan's new series of Japan-pressed vinyl editions of classic albums.
