Lafayette Afro-Rock Band - Darkest Light b/w Hihache [7"]

Strut presents two classic tracks from the Lafayette Afro-Rock Band, finally together on 7" vinyl. The opening bars of "Darkest Light," from the Malik album, became a defining hip-hop motif sampled by Jay-Z, Public Enemy and many more, while "Hihache," from Soul Makossa, gave hip-hop one of its foundational drum breaks.
