Chopin Monice [CD]

Marek Mizera – Chopin Monice [CD]

Marek Mizera brings wisdom, restraint and deep sensitivity to Chopin. Rejecting display for its own sake, he finds the poetry between the notes: lucid phrasing, noble melancholy and an intimate dialogue with the listener, shaped by decades as a pianist and a distinguished teacher.

The program centers on the Piano Concerto in E minor, Op. 11, heard here with a string ensemble, alongside the Nocturne in F-sharp minor, Op. 48 No. 2 and selected Waltzes. Chopin at once intimate, mature and expressive, on CD from the Polish label DUX.

Genre: Classical, Romantic.
