Causing Havoc 1972-1977 [2LP]

WITCH - Causing Havoc 1972-1977 [2LP]

WITCH, short for "We Intend to Cause Havoc," were Zambia's most popular band of the 1970s, led by Emanuel "Jagari" Chanda. Fusing British and American hard rock and psychedelia with Zambian folk rhythms and melodies, they launched the Zamrock movement in 1972 with Introduction, pressed in Kenya and carried home in suitcases as the country's first commercially produced rock album.

This double LP compiles garage, psych, prog, funk and Afro-rock highlights from 1972 to 1977, released by Munster Records in collaboration with Now-Again Records.
