Ancient Leaves [LP]

Michael Stearns - Ancient Leaves [LP]

Ancient Leaves is the debut album from ambient pioneer Michael Stearns, later famous for his work on Baraka and his Hearts of Space-era records. Recorded on four-track tape in the 1970s, it's a cult Californian proto-ambient set built from Minimoog, Finnish kantele, field recordings and choral voices, drifting in long passages that recall the Berlin School of Klaus Schulze.

Reissued by Infinite Fog, mastered from the original source and pressed on black vinyl as a single LP.
