Allison de Groot & Rich Ruth – Allison de Groot & Rich Ruth [LP]

Allison de Groot and Rich Ruth connect acoustic banjo with electronic textures on their self-titled collaboration. The arrangements draw folk instrumentation into an ambient setting, with contributions from violinist Patrick M’Gonigle and pedal steel player Spencer Cullum. The result places familiar strings in spacious, exploratory surroundings.

Genre: Experimental Folk, Ambient.
