Slayyyter — STARFUCKER (Deluxe) [LP]
The album that made Slayyyter a hyperpop icon finally gets its definitive vinyl pressing. An '80s-drenched electropop fever dream, STARFUCKER satirizes Hollywood's culture of drugs, vanity, and celebrity through an extravagant Los Angeles starlet persona — vicious and vulnerable in equal measure. Now expanded to 15 tracks with 3 new songs, including the fan-favorite singles 'I Love Hollywood!,' 'Miss Belladonna,' and 'Erotic Electronic.'

This reissue arrives at exactly the right moment. Slayyyter is currently in the middle of a sold-out North American and European run behind her critically adored 2026 album WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA, and just made her debut on Triple J's Like A Version, tearing into a cover of Hole's 'Violet' that stunned even Courtney Love herself. Love reposted the performance on Instagram, writing that Slayyyter 'will in fact not be returning to St. Louis. She's employed me to run the salon. Keep wiping the floors with us. It's a DELIGHT!' — a reference to Slayyyter's early SoundCloud days covering Nirvana under the name Slater. In the accompanying interview, Slayyyter explained that Hole's Live Through This shaped her as a teenager discovering riot grrrl through Tumblr edits: 'I became so obsessed with the way she would perform and the way she would tell the crowd to fuck off.' That same feral energy is all over STARFUCKER, and it's exactly why the record still hits a decade into her career. Erykah Badu & The Alchemist — Before The World Blows: The Abi and Alan Experiment
Badu's first full-length in eleven years, a hypnotic, deeply personal collision with one of hip-hop's most revered producers, just hit streaming, and the response has been immediate and glowing. Recorded over 18 months between Dallas and LA, road-tested live in intimate, phone-free sessions with Badu's Cannabinoids collective before it was ever finished, the album features Westside Gunn, Thundercat, Steve Lacy, Earl Sweatshirt, and Kamasi Washington.

Critics are calling it one of the most forward-thinking records of either artist's career. The Guardian's review called it 'a multi-layered epic that unfurls like a hazy all-nighter,' while Ratings Game Music praised how 'the production constantly moves around you, with strange textures, little sounds, harmonies, and unexpected moments appearing throughout, it's weird as hell, but in the best way.' Album of the Year users have zeroed in on standout cuts 'Echoes,' 'I Just Play A Part,' and the Kamasi Washington-featuring 'Black Box,' with one reviewer noting the pairing 'beats the 2026 washed allegations' that had dogged some of the Alchemist's other recent output.

Badu has also been vocal about correcting the narrative around the album's billing. In a video released ahead of the drop, she pushed back directly: 'There's a mythology going around that this is an Erykah Badu album produced by the Alchemist. No. I am the executive producer. I was there from inception to the mix.' True to form, the record is packed with distinctly Badu touches, a comedy skit about getting waxed, Mama's Gun collaborator DJ Quik playing wood block, and spoken-word passages The Guardian called 'surely among her best lyrics yet.' Two decades on, Beyoncé's fiery sophomore album returns, the record that gave us 'Deja Vu,' 'Irreplaceable,' 'Ring the Alarm,' and 'Get Me Bodied.' This 180g 2LP anniversary pressing includes recent single 'Morning Dew (Donk)' and a 16-page collectible booklet with never-before-seen imagery. The moment Queen Bey went full auteur. The New Orleans duo's 2020 mixtape returns on striking purple/black and grey marble vinyl, distorted production, rapid-fire flows, and bleakly introspective lyricism.
