We can all philosophise about which album is the best by any artist and why but sometimes you just want all the best bits handed to you on a plate and the best of is a guilty pleasure that will never wear thin. Comprising of songs written as the band Adam and The Ants and his work under his solo moniker, this is a comprehensive whistlestop tour kicking off with the timeless 1978 single 'Young Parisians', a number with a distinctively British 60s psychedelia feel - it wouldn't be amiss on a Beatles album. Adam Ant has surived so long on the scene so long possibly because he's been ill afraid to tinker with his sound and respond to technological advances over the years so the relative simplicity of his late 70s stuff is a big contrast to the slick Suede-esque 1995 single 'Wonderful'. Hearing this evolution and consistency is a staggering reminder of the quality this genius of British pop culture has.
