Fifth album by Hamburg soul collective Angels of Libra to be released on CD and vinyl by Waterfall Records!

The collective presents its most accomplished album to date: twelve warm, analog tracks that blend the spirit of Curtis Mayfield and Ennio Morricone with a contemporary soul and cinematic pop approach.

Produced by Dennis Rux and developed together with Hans-Christian Stephan, Road to Mandalay combines vintage aesthetics with modern songwriting. Nathan Johnston once again takes the lead vocals on ten tracks, while neo-soul artist Sarife shines on the '60s-inspired "Baby When You Hold Me." The two also join forces for the album's closing track, "This Boy."

Lyrically, the album draws inspiration from Rudyard Kipling's Mandalay, taking listeners on a journey through loss, self-doubt, and hope. The result is a cinematic yet accessible soul album for fans of Jungle, Durand Jones & The Indications, and modern retro-inspired sounds.
