Cabildos - Cross Fire [CD] (Japanese Import)
The Cabildos are one of 70s library music's most mysterious acts, shrouded in mystery beyond the fact that their name comes from Florida-based Italian keyboardist/composer Johnny Cabildo, and that they only released three albums. They released "Yuxtaposicion" under the name "CABILDO'S THREE" in 1972, this album "Cross Fire" in 1974, and their final album "Where Is the Cat?" in 1979. This is their most popular album, and originally composed for films, documentaries, and advertisements, the songs are all groove-filled instrumentals incorporating elements of Latin music, funk, and fusion, and enriched with Afro-tribal percussion. The title track, performed solely with bass, drums, and keyboards, is particularly notable for its uplifting quality. LISTEN: https://youtu.be/vUnh1qV79kk Song List 01. Crossfire 02. Barrio Bueno 03.
