The song\nacknowledges the toll it takes on one’s mental\nhealth, struggling day in \u0026amp; day out with no breaks\nonly to be left farther \u0026amp; farther behind. “I wish life\nwould just give it a rest,” laments Rev.\nThe album contains its fair share of venom,\nhowever, like all great political punk in the\ntradition of The Clash or Stiff Little Fingers, the\nlyrics prioritize people over polemic, reaching out\nwith compassion in an age where it is in\ndistressingly short supply. “I’m sure that we could\nchange it all if we only had a heart,” implores\nAndy on “Have a Heart.”\nThis is life-affirming music for hard times, made\nfor everyone that could sorely use it right now,\nand a record poised to give the band’s\nhard-earned position as a fan-favorite in the\nglobal punk scene an even greater trajectory. For a\nband that has won over fans around the globe,\nrecord by record and show by show, it is a big\nstatement, but simply put: Harsh Reality is The\nDrowns at the top of their game.\nSIDE A\n01.
