One day he came into the shop and struck up a conversation with one of my store colleagues Backdoor Tony and I caught the British accent. We introduced ourselves and quickly decided we should go for a pint \u0026amp; some fish n chips at the infamous British Pub in Hollywood the “Cat \u0026amp; Fiddle” up on Sunset Blvd. Soon we became fast friends and a roadtrip was planned up to the beach to work on some music \u0026amp; get out of L.A. Later we banged out “Rhodes Through Space” which was the first release on PCH Records.\nAs we become closer friends Chris would always play me his latest and greatest \u0026amp; I got to cherry pick al lot of his Best early works. A child of the Music Biz, Chis’s Father (RIP) managed Jackson Brown so he grew up on tour, at show’s \u0026amp; around some seriously talented musicians. He went to school in the UK with Mel Torme’s son where they would bunk off to go to early Jungle Raves to hear Randall.\nHe is \u0026amp; multi-faceted musician who sings, play’s keys, drums, guitar and pretty much anything else you put in front of him, he’s a f*ckin WEAPON! He has since gone on to work with the Neptunes, Beyonce, Honey Dijon and many more as well as developing his killer solo projects under various alias’s.. “HypnoFreak” was done at his old Studio in Hollywood alongside “All Night Long” where he had begun to move in a different musical direction, more live based than samples after moving out from the Mid City spot w\/ Lance \u0026amp; JT.\nHe was playing live drums, keys and doing the vocals on all the tracks \u0026amp; I Loved his fresh approach to all the new stuff he was playing me alongside his Dr. Sparkle material too. “HypnoFreak” is a Jackin’ dance floor number with live Bass and drums and processed haunting vocal throughout. Such an upbeat track you can feel Chris’s energy as it builds and builds teasing the dance floor on and on with the percussion until it finally breaks into a heaving Bassline explosion. Definitely a tune to get the party started!\n“All Night Long” sees Chris heavy on the vocoder tastefully layered on top of a hypnotic keyboard riff “All the heads in the place…..All night Long!” Similar to “HynoFreak” this one builds and builds \u0026amp; then breaks into a funky pulsing synth Bassline with complimenting bleeps and stabs with cheeky bongo riffs dashing in \u0026amp; out. Once he’s got you grooving he switches up the Bassline \u0026amp; in come vocoder whispers of “House music All Night Long…It’s Music.” Chris definitely stretches out his musical chops on this 12.
