It laid the groundwork for what's next: BAT LIPS' first full-length LP, HESPERUS, set for release in October 2026 via Second Engine Records. Written in the months directly following POWDER the record was self-produced by Bat Lips, mixed and engineered by Dave Alcan and mastered by Jay Maas, HESPERUS pulls the band's sound further into uncharted territories fusing industrial, death metal, and drum \u0026amp; bass stylings. Drawing musical influence from an eclectic array of artists like Death, Underworld, The Locust, and Venetian Snares. Mygatt’s introspective lyrics dig into structuralist literary references and confront themes of imprisonment, surveillance, and the search for self within a chaotic, technology-saturated world.
